Bio of Dr. Aisha Mukhtar
Dr. Aisha Mukhtar is a cognitive neuroscience researcher specializing in emotion, expectation, and memory, with over 10 years of clinical and psychological experience. She earned her PhD from the University of Manchester, UK, where she conducted behavioural and neuroimaging experiments on how the brain responds to unexpected events—especially negative ones—to understand psychological trauma and adaptation.
She has clinical expertise in individual therapy and marital counselling and has conducted research on sexual and marital satisfaction. Dr. Mukhtar designed an Arabic scale for sexual assertiveness, and her research won first place at a scientific conference. She has provided therapy for complex cases including PTSD and relationship issues and has presented her work at conferences in the UK and US. She is a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS).
